Use Your Illusion is a Guns N' Roses compilation album that is mixed from the Use Your Illusion I & II albums (single disc version), and has only been released in the United States. However, not all songs without profanity were chosen to appear on this compilation (one notable absence is "So Fine", the only non-cover song by the band with Duff McKagan on lead vocals; he wrote it as a tribute to his recently-deceased idol Johnny Thunders).
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" appears in an edited version, without Josh Richman's speech (You just better start sniffin' your own rank subjugation jack 'cause it's just you against your tattered libido, the bank and the mortician, forever man and it wouldn't be luck if you could get out of life alive), removed for unknown reasons. Therefore, track length is reduced to 05:20, instead of 05:36 from the version included in Use Your Illusion II.
The cover art of the album was designed by Mark Kostabi.[1]
